Laser Cut 3D Stadiums for Trine University
To recognize donors and coaches for the dedication of the the MTI Center Basketball Stadium at Trine University in Indiana, the University asked me to to create a laser-cut 3D replica of their new basketball stadium. Twelve stadiums were framed with customized plexiglass panels.
The framed recognition pieces feature replicas of the new MTI Center Basketball stadium.
To create the 3D stadium, 8 layers were laser cut and assembled with spacers and put behind 12 customized plexi panels.
The tiered pull-out bleacher seats are added to the flooring layer.
My “cool” factor at the Maker’s space I use for laser cutting increased substantially after this project! I was know as the "paper" laser cutting lady, after this project I am starting to make laser cut wooden lanterns.
